Proceeds from the the club's fundraising initiatives pay for its training and competition expenses. This year, the team's expenses are further increased by a trip to the 2004 U.S. National Team Trials in Fort Dodge, Iowa where the Piranhas will be racing head to head with the top crews in the United States.
